MINGUS MOUNTAIN REPUBLICAN LUNCHEON TUESDAY, April 9, 2024

 People aligned with any political ideology are invited to the Mingus Mountain Republican Club Luncheon on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 11:00 am at the (VFW) Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #7400, 705 E. Aspen St., Cottonwood.

Speakers:

Chip Davis – Candidate for Yavapai County Treasurer

The Treasurer is responsible for the collection and apportionment of the personal and real property taxes levied by the County and the various other taxing entities such as Yavapai College, school districts, fire districts, special districts and cities.

The Treasurer also acts as the bank for the County by receiving and remitting money in the amount of approximately $2 billion annually from all sources. The Treasurer is responsible for keeping these funds invested and earning interest as provided in the statutes. The Treasurer also conducts the annual tax lien sale and in conjunction with that sale, they issue Certificates of Purchase.

Judd Simmons – Candidate for Yavapai County Assessor

The vision of the Yavapai County Assessor’s Office is to proficiently and effectively comply with all applicable statutes, procedures, and regulations of the State of Arizona in producing an accurate annual assessment roll for use by the public and by governmental agencies.

Judd is a graduate of Prescott High School and acquired his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Northern Arizona University. For over twenty years, he worked as a real estate appraiser and owned his own appraisal business. His time spent as an appraiser and Realtor were part of the inspiration to run for the office of County Assessor in 2016.

Doors open at 10:45, Lunch served at 11:00, meeting/programs begin at 11:30.      Lunch includes entree, salad, dessert, coffee or iced tea. Lunch $15.
